Andrew Fun Times + Shrek

I long to see the day I write a blog entry that is actually published on the day it is talking about.

On Wednesday, after a long drive from Ottawa, Andrew came over to visit :) He chilled at Starbucks for a bit because I finished work at around 8:30, and then had to mail something at Shopper’s Drug Mart. I got home at around 9:10, and then OH WOW SUDDEN MEMORY LOSS WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT. Oh right, I remember Andrew wanted to shower, and I spent like 286823 years cleaning my bathroom because it’s that disgusting. I even asked my mom to dig out a new fluffy mat. I don’t remember what happened afterwards. I just know Andrew forgot to bring his pillow again.

The next morning I was apparently very bold and adventurous and we had breakfast at the Phoenix Restaurant. I wanted to drive Andrew since he did a lot of driving, but my parents took my dad’s car so Andrew ended up driving again :( I felt bad so I treated him to breakfast. He had 2 French toasts and we shared a yummy panna cotta for dessert :) After that we just had a shopping day. Went to Sport Chek, Canadian Tire, and then to Markville Mall. Bath and Body Works was apparently having a sale and I bought 3 mini candles for Andrew’s new place in Ottawa. Got myself foam soap and a large mint chocolate-scented candle. There were a lot of candles scents that I liked, and I’m not even a candle person, but the mint chocolate one really got me. Here’s hoping my room smells like mint chocolate soon. Andrew also managed to get a new shirt for work, too, yay~ Winner’s is awesome.

After that we were getting a little hungry so we had dinner at Pickle Barrel. The pasta I ordered was very yummy but Andrew wasn’t too happy with his burger haha :P Once that was done we headed back to my house and watched Shrek (and not Once Upon a Time, what is wrong with me?) because it was on Andrew’s external hard drive and my bandwidth was getting eaten. I’ve seen it before but I didn’t remember it, and Andrew thought I never watched it, so yep. It was pretty fast-paced, which I liked, but it’s not something I’d watch again :P Apparently Shrek 2 is really good, so maybe I’ll give that a try next time.

Once that was over Andrew had to leave to avoid traffic. Unfortunately he hit it anyway and got home at like 11:45 :( Not sure when we can hang out again since the next time I don’t have work is June 30 >.> I’m so tired all the time but for some reason I’m always glued to my laptop screen.

Another blog late. But no one cares. And I don’t either 8D

Sooooooooo on Wednesday I decided to freeload at Andrew’s place. After my dad checked the mail for me and I opened up Andrew’s Spice and Wolf light novels (I ordered them for him) I got dropped off at York and took the 7pm GO bus to McMaster.

Speaking of McMaster. CONGRATULATIONS TO ANDREW FOR GRADUATING XD! Yayyyy :D I was quite sad that I couldn’t go to his convocation :( I managed to watch like 10 minutes of it on the live stream but then I had to head to work T_T! But yes, a well-deserved diploma for you :) Wish you took more pictures, though :P

ANYWAY, so I get to Mac and Andrew picks me up and then we head to Montana’s for foods because I am starving :P It was an amusing dinner as I kept hiding half my face from him (I developed an unsightly pimple). The waitress serving our table must have been like uhhhhh what’s wrong with this girl? 8D

After dinner we headed back to Andrew’s place and I forced him to watch the final 2 episodes of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun with me. I know we started watching it a while ago, but it didn’t really hook me so I stopped at like…episode 2 or 3. I recently started to watch it because my friend cosplayed from it. I admit, it got better, and I was really looking forward to the last 2 episodes because I was POSITIVE the 2 main characters would get together…BUT LO AND BEHOLD THE LAST EPISODE WAS TERRIBLE AND NO PROGRESS WAS MADE and I can’t believe I had my hopes up. UGHHHHHH.

Okay, I’m done being annoyed 8D After some more chill time and Andrew showing me his new couch and desk for his new place we decided to sleep. I stole his bed as usual 8D

The next morning I was woken up early by the cries of angry birds outside Andrew’s window. I normally enjoy sweet bird chirps in the morning but wow, the bird who woke me up really need a chill pill. When it finally calmed down I was able to doze off again, and I believe it was past noon by the time Andrew and I were out of bed :P After nomming a rare huge breakfast, I showered and then we watched an episode of Once Upon a Time :) I wanted to watch more, but we needed to head to the theatre for THE GREAT GATSBY. TEEHEEEEEEE LEO 8D!

We got to the theatre with a few minutes to spare and even managed to get some popcorn. My treat because Andrew treated me for the movie :P So what do I have to say? I felt the movie was great. Wish I didn’t see it in 3D as it gave me a headache but oh well. I read the book back in high school but I don’t remember much of it. I had to ask Andrew a few questions during the film, but luckily there weren’t that many people in the theatre so I don’t think I disturbed anyone, except Andrew 8D Leo looked very dashing as usual, and surprisingly I thought Daisy was very pretty o.o BUT SHE TURNED OUT TO BE SUCH A BEACH DIDN’T SHE?! Omg. Leo needs to stop dying in water. Gah T_T! Andrew already warned me about the ending being sad but omggggggggggg. I was a bit depressed after. Essentially everyone’s a bum except Leo and Spider Man (Nick). And I guess Jordan was alright. Everyone else just cares about money and status. Tom is such a poo head. This rant doesn’t convey my feelings properly because I don’t want to use foul language, but Tom needs to get high-fived. In the face. With a brick. Friggen hypocrite and douchebag.

So yep, I recommend whoever is reading this to watch the movie. I didn’t feel the 3D to be necessary but I know many people loved the effects of it. Leo better win an Oscar with this one.

After the movie, we headed back to Andrew’s place for a little bit and then Andrew drove me home at around 8:45. We wanted to stop by the Subway outside my house, but the mean lady told us they were closed, WHEN THE OPEN SIGN WAS LIT. She turned it off when we pointed it out -_- It was 9:55. We had 5 minutes. Grrrrrr D< My mom ended up forcing Andrew to try her soup, and I had sticky rice. Once Andrew finished his soup he headed home with a new bag of rice my parents bought for him haha 8D

Working at TD + Andrew Fun Times

Feeling: Photobucket

Oh wow, I haven’t blogged since Anime North. A lot has happened. A lot also still needs to happen. Like uploading my Anime North pictures onto Facebook. But I won’t do that until my Paris and Vienna trip pictures are up haha, which…I suspect will take some time.

Let’s recap on my very fascinating life. *cough*

So my first real day at TD was this past Wednesday! It was super nervous because it was super busy. The line went out the door and the humidity didn’t help. Apparently it was month end so people rush to pay their bills or something. I shadowed for a bit, did some online courses and tests and the day flew by. My second day was this past Friday. Did some more shadowing and I did a few easy transactions on my own (I felt so proud!) but obviously at a much slower pace so I went back to my online courses and tests when the line got out of hand haha.

Andrew came to visit on Thursday and we (yep, you guessed it!) watched episodes of Once Upon a Time. OMG. I’m at the part where the evil Cora dies and Snow White is like turning evil. I’m still sad about Belle, though :( TIME REWIND to when we went to Pacific Mall because I was hungry. Andrew had his beloved egg waffles and I had some Japanese food at the food court.

We then went to look for a rice cooker for Andrew haha XD! There were a lot of rice cookers but they were all really pricey ($150+). We eventually found a Panasonic one that was on sale and Andrew got it for about $45 (with tax). Can’t wait to show him how to use it. I also managed to get a monthly scheduler from Smart Maple, but it’s confusing the remaining intellect out of me because the calendar they give me has Sundays at the end instead of the beginning of the week (I’m used to the latter).

Dinner was nommed at Swiss Chalet where I had my beloved pesto penne and stole some of Andrew’s soup. Then I stole his poutine for take out. We then went back to my place for a little bit and my parents gave him one of our pots haha! Woot for money saving!

Wow it’s already 11:30. Okay, I must head off to bed. 8am shift for TD tomorrow, and if it’s like what it was today, the line will be super long again and I will need all my energy to smile and appear welcoming. I hope someone gets to shadow me. I’m still not confident about being all by myself.
